I am confused about setting up the EUR set prices. Can you please tell me how i can set a set EURO & a set GBP value on a product?

Answer:

This tutorial will show you in detail about how to set up Currencies for your Store view and Products in the default Magento.

1. Set up Currency for Store view

System → Configuration → General → Currency Setup → Currency Options

At this block, you can set up 3 types of currency:

• Base currency: You can choose only one Base currency for each store view after installing our extension. This currency will be used to set up price for product from admin and to calculate price when checkout using online payment transactions.

• Default Display currency: You can choose only one Default Display currency for each store view. This currency will be displayed on frontend when customer view site via store view.

• Allowed Currencies: You can choose multiple Allowed currencies for each store view. These currencies can be switched back and forth when customer view site via store view. Price value will be calculated depending on currency rate set up for site (You can set up currency rate at System → Manage Currency → Rates)

You can set up 3 types of currency for each store view by switching Current Configuration Scope. Please remember to Save Config after each set up.

Example:

*In Store view A you set up

• Base currency: US Dollar

• Default display currency: US Dollar

• Allowed currencies: US Dollar and Euro

• Currency Rate: 1 US Dollar = 0,92 Euro

• Set up price for product at store view A: 20

⇒ When customer view product via store view A, product price default displayed is USD 20. When switching to EUR, product price displayed is EUR 18,38.

*In Store view B you set up

• Base currency: Euro

• Default display currency: US Dollar

• Allowed currencies: US Dollar and Euro

• Currency Rate: 1 US Dollar = 0,92 Euro

• Set up price for product at store view B: 20

⇒ When customer view product via store view B, product price default displayed is USD 21,77. When switching to EUR, product price displayed is EUR 20.

     2.  Set up Price for Products

Please choose Store view that you want to set up and then fill in Price and Special Price for product.

Example:

*In Store view A you set up

• Base currency: US Dollar

• Default display currency: US Dollar

• Allowed currencies: US Dollar and Euro

• Currency Rate: 1 US Dollar = 0,92 Euro

• Set up price for product at store view A: 40

⇒ When customer view product via store view A, product price default displayed is USD 40. When switching to EUR, product price displayed is EUR 36,75.

*In Store view B you set up

• Base currency: Euro

• Default display currency: US Dollar

• Allowed currencies: US Dollar and Euro

• Currency Rate: 1 US Dollar = 0,92 Euro

• Set up price for product at store view B: 40

⇒ When customer view product via store view B, product price default displayed is USD 43,53. When switching to EUR, product price displayed is EUR 40.
