Simple Product Image and Color Swatch on Table Ordering

 Question:

1) Simple Product Image

I read the instruction on your website. And it says that “To create color swatch, set images for children products which has the largest ID corresponding to each option of the first attribute. “I totally understand what it means.

But here is the problem.

In my website, when child product is out of stock, I just set it as “disabled” but it is till associated with configurable product.

In this case if the child product which has the largest id is out of stock, so I set it as disabled, what should I do?

Is the 2nd largest id child product’s image can be shown in the website? Or is the image can be blank?

2) Color Swatch

2-1) Where can I change the color swatch image?

2-2) Is it possible to put Product image instead of color swatch?

1/ Simple Product Image

When child product is out of stock, I just set it as “disabled” but it is till associated with configurable product. In this case if the child product which has the largest id is out of stock

=>  Swatch image is still updated as this product if config 'Display Out of Stock Status' is enabled

=> Otherwise, it will show  2nd largest id child product’s image

2) Color Swatch:
